At the beginning of the school year, we challenged our teenagers to memorize scripture on a weekly basis. One incentive offered for those up to the challenge was to receive partial scholarships and/or financial support for the Philadelphia Mission Trip. We are asking our church body to support those students that have been memorizing God’s word each week by giving to a scholarship fund setup for them. If you would like to give any amount to the scholarship fund, please do so by giving to “Philly Scholarship Fund.” All funds raised will go to support those that completed the verses assigned each week. For any questions, please contact Pastor Chad.
All adult staff that work with students on Wednesday night at HASM will have a lunch meeting right after the AM Worship service on February 18th. The lunch meeting will take place in the Reception Center.
Starting January 14th there will be a new series of verses for students to commit to memory. Last semester we had several of our MS and HS students memorize scripture each week as a part of the study through 1 Corinthians. This next semester will be through the book of James. Journey Cards will be available in January for everyone to keep track of teaching and verses.
With the beginning of a new year, this is a great time for you to think about new areas of service. If you would like more information about possibly serving with the worship team (areas include: worship vocalists, instrumentalists, and media team), please contact Pastor Samuel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
