About Us Community Life
Community Life Groups are a crucial componant of our mission to connect all people to Christ, His Community, and His Calling. The great commssion charges us to make disciples, teaching people to observe the commands of Christ. The reality of knowing Christ cannot happen if a person does not study His Word. Because of this charge, our Community Life Ministry focuses on an intentional effort to teach the Bible within the context of Community Life Groups that meet every Sunday Morning at 9:30am. Our children, youth, and adults are all striving to learn and apply the Scripture during this time together. Every attender of HABC is encouraged to attend a Community Life Group as an essential aspect of their spiritual growth and encouragement. Growth Teams are another aspect of our Community Life Ministry that seek to develop deeper relationships grounded in prayer and outreach to the community.
What is a Growth Team?
Growth Teams are an extension of our Sunday Morning Community Life Groups. These teams gather our body in smaller groups, focused on three core values: Fellowship, Prayer, and Outreach.
When do Growth Teams meet?
To begin with, Growth Teams will meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30. As growth teams grow and multiply, various teams may choose to meet on another night of the week.
How do I find a Growth Team?
The best way is to attend a Community Life Group on Sunday Morning and your groups leader can point you in the right direction, or email tadt@habc.net.

What do we do with our kids during Growth Teams?
We will offer a full children’s program at the church for our kids. Our Student Ministry and College Ministry also have growth teams on Sunday nights.
Are Growth Team s a place to invite new people?
YES! Although our worship service is the normal entry point for guests, Growth Teams are a great place for people to get connected into community, especially on the evenings that we gather and pray together.
In our worship services each week we will intentionally give our guests the opportunity to take the next step and attend a growth team that evening. It will be very powerful for a person to visit on Sunday morning and have the opportunity to attend a smaller group that same evening.
