Who is AWANA For?
Awana encompasses 3 age groups:
Cubbies: 3 to 5 year olds, not yet in Kindergarten. (Three year olds need to be potty trained)
Sparks: Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
T&T Clubs: 3rd through 5th grade.
When is Awana?
During the school year on Wednesday nights. Please note the time change. Awana will now meet from 6 P.M. until 7:45 P.M. Parents - do not drop your children off before 5:45, as there will NOT be supervision prior to 5:45. Children must be picked up PROMPTLY at 7:45 P.M.
What does Awana do?
Awana’s goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. They do this through three separate components:
Council Time - During council time the children are introduced to speakers who bring the message of Christ’s love to them.
Handbook Time - The focus of handbook time is to learn God’s word. One goal of Awana is to have children to begin to memorize scripture. At this time children recite scripture as well develop relationships with each other.
Game Time - Game time allows kids to have fun and to build teamwork skills.
